O so much God to police everything and still be left over to flatter one's
harmless idiosyncrasies, the things that make us us, which is precisely
what is fading like paint on a sign, no matter how much one pretends
it's the same as yesterday.

Peeling paint
Last night I had an evening of... idiosyncrasy. Which brought up this memorable bit from Flow Chart (a book-length poem, btw), which hits a few nails on the head.

It’s a very nice poem.
I can see my hair slowly and surely turning black again!
A retreat of idiosyncrasy... Take arms against it - read Jon Ashbery. I also like Mark Strand, btw; mainly because he's easier to understand.
But really; odd people can be a savior. Can also be a disaster, but I am not talking about that group.
What color was your hair before?
Thanks for the suggestions.
My hair was turning silver grey so I had to intervene regardless. Some people look much better in silver grey.
I wouldn't know about that - too far from my boyish blond. But i always pegged you for the rich black mane type. Or at least your name, "Mrs Cooper", would suggest that. A very hirsute sort of name.
A very hairy sort of name?
Yup... Don't you think so? Coopers were hairy people. Just think of... Alice Cooper. http://www.alicecooper.com/
I don't about Alice Cooper. Well, there's one who is not hairy and he's Anderson Cooper. I hope you know who he is -the only cute guy on CNN.
